Dogwood is our largest and most versatile meeting room. We will set the tables and chairs in any configuration you desire. Some groups choose to bring their own decor to add a personal touch. The room has a sound system with wireless mics. Also available are Smart Boards or a drop-down screen for your presentations.

Catawba is the ideal meeting space for smaller groups. Amenities include a digital Smartboard, projector screen, and whiteboard. If you’re looking for two smaller meeting spaces, Catawba can be split with a center partition.

Overlooking our beautiful lounge is a meeting room we’ve aptly named the Loft. It’s upstairs, and a great place for small group meetings, a breakout session, or your next board meeting.

Woodlands

For a boardroom-type meeting, off of our dining area is a newly furnished room. Woodlands can also be a nice private dining area (see Dining).

Mountain View

Upstairs above the main entrance is a quaint little meeting room with cathedral ceilings and a great view of Baker Mountain.

Chapel

Seats 38

A treasured place within the main center is our chapel. It is a great place to go for a late-night talk with the Lord or gather with others for an intimate worship service. Some groups use it for Adoration. Others take advantage of the sacred space to enhance their retreat presentations.

Lodging Rooms

Lodging – Main Center

50 lodging rooms, each with private bath

The center has 50 nicely appointed lodging rooms, each with two comfortable double beds and a private bath. There are two handicap accessible rooms upon request. Dining

Dining Area

Seats 160

Our dining service provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all groups. Meals are served buffet style. Lunch and dinner also include a signature salad or salad bar. Beverages include coffee, tea, water, and juice depending on the meal. In addition to our regular meal service, our full-time chef delights in providing a variety of other offerings – banquets, snack trays, and appetizers. For certain events, alcohol is an option.

Retreat Houses

Saint Francis House

Sleeps 13

Nestled between our grassy lawns and our wooded acreage (and sometimes underneath a rainbow) is our Saint Francis retreat house. With three bedrooms upstairs, two down, two baths, and a fully equipped kitchen, it is a perfect place for a small group to getaway retreat. Men’s and women’s groups, crafters, campus ministries, and even extended families have all made Saint Francis their preferred location.

Saint Mary House

Sleeps 1-4

Take a step back in time and enjoy a private retreat at our newly remodeled Saint Mary House. Built over 100 years ago, the house was the original home to nine children who grew up on the farm. It now has electricity, indoor plumbing, and a few other amenities, but still has the original shiplap walls and red pine floors. It is an easy walk to our main center or our trailheads.

Favorite Spaces

Inside Center

A stay at the center has much more to offer than just a place to meet and eat. We have a number of shared spaces – indoors and out – that are the favorites of our guests. As time permits during a retreat or a conference, many relax in our lounge and spend some time by the fireplace. Others peruse the unique crafts and gifts in our gift shop. Many groups appreciate our guest kitchen, where the early riser can make a pot of coffee or the larger groups can store and refrigerate their snacks.

Outdoors

With 180 landscaped and natural acres surrounding the main center, there are a variety of ways to re-energize the mind, body, spirit, and soul. We’ve got modest trails with many reflection points cut through the woods. For the more adventuresome, we’re adjacent to the more challenging trails at Baker Mountain Park.
