The Assistant Chef is a key member of the dining staff. The Assistant Chef prepares meals either independently or in conjunction with the primary chef. He or she must possess the necessary culinary skills and have experience preparing meals for small and large groups. Specific responsibilities include:
Direct the activities of assistants and other kitchen staff as needed for timely meal delivery and dining room.
Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing and presentation.
Assist guests with any special dietary requests.
Abide by all local and state codes and work in a safe, sanitary manner.
Help in the clean-up of the kitchen and dining room following all meals.
Be a resource to the guests as needed, within and outside of the kitchen and dining area.
Exhibit behavior and demeanor befitting a Christian institution.
The Assistant Chef is a part-time position, hours will vary upon various schedules. Pay will be based on experience.
The Kitchen Assistant assists the chef and kitchen staff with setting up the dining room for meal service, dishwashing and clean-up of the dining room following the meal. Under direction of the chef, he or she will assist with food preparation and placement of food in the serving area. The Kitchen Assistant will be available during meals to assist guests with any needs they may have. The Kitchen Assistant is a part-time position, hours will vary upon various schedules. Pay range is $8.25 to $9.00 per hour.
The duties of the Housekeeping Assistant include general cleaning of the Conference Center common areas including meeting rooms, public restrooms, lobby and lounge area, and performing tasks as assigned to maintain the beautiful appearance of the center. The person should have a kindly appearance and a welcoming spirit of hospitality. The Housekeeping Assistant is a part-time position, hours will vary upon various schedules. Pay range is $8.25 to $9.00 per hour.
