Behold, I am doing something new! Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? (Is 43:19)
These are the words of prophet Isaiah to a people who might have missed the changes taking place around them. The scripture also might describe the transformation taking place at the Catholic Conference Center. In the last four years, the renovations have brought about a lot of ‘new’. New facilities, new furnishing, a new chef, and now a new director. The transformation has also brought about a new group of faithful patrons who bring new life and diversity to the center (see montage of logos below). They come here from distant places like Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta and Denver to renew their spirit and reinvigorate their mission, a mission that in various ways is bringing forth the Kingdom of God. If you haven’t been to the conference center in a while, come and see for yourself. One more ‘new’ thing is this newsletter. I’ll try to keep people abreast of what is ‘springing forth’ at the conference center. Many of the events taking place here are ‘open’, so I thought it would be good to share these with you in case you might be interested.May God bless all of your plans and endeavors. (Tb 3)Scott D. Gilfillan, Deacon
