About The Center

The Catholic Conference Center was originally built in 1988 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte.  Originally developed as a support facility for the programs, parishes, and offices of the diocese, the beautiful facilities and pastoral setting soon attracted many other individuals and organizations looking for a unique place to get away to a perfect setting for an event, retreat, and training.

Who we serve

The Center still provides essential services to the diocese, but because of the unique features, has become a preferred site for a wide range of:

• governmental agencies
• civic organizations

With our beautiful grounds and stunning architectural features, we offer a unique way our guests can be renewed and transformed.

How we serve

The center has 30 years of experience hosting a variety of groups.  It is situated minutes from Hickory and on the rim of Baker Mountain State Park. Under one roof, The Center offers:

• meeting spaces and conference rooms for groups up to 200 people.
• dining area with a full-time chef.
• 50 lodging rooms for overnight stays, each with two full sized beds
• Amenities such as audio/visual equipment, digital white board, and free wireless internet
• A staff with a wealth of experience hosting events and retreat.

Many groups that come to the center have such a great experience they book their next event before they leave.
